On November 19, Contemporary Amperex Technology Co., Limited (CATL) signed a strategic cooperation agreement with the China Iron and Steel Association (CISA) in Changzhou, Jiangsu Province. This cooperation will precisely empower steel enterprises to realize energy conservation, carbon reduction, and green transformation, creating a replicable and scalable model of industry synergy to support the green and high-quality development of the iron and steel industry.

The China Iron and Steel Association is an influential organization in China's iron and steel industry. By pooling industry resources, CISA is committed to promoting exchanges and cooperation within and the industry, participating in the formulation of industrial development plans, and industrial policies and regulations, and driving the green and low-carbon transition and high-quality development of the industry. This partnership with CATL represents a significant practice of cross-industry integration to promote industrial upgrading.

The two sides will, based on the co-development of the industry ecosystem, deeply integrate their respective core resources and technological advantages. Taking the implementation of new energy applications, the co-creation of zero-carbon scenarios, the transformation of technological achievements, and the unification of industry standards as the core priorities, the two companies will jointly explore new paths for energy and carbon governance in the whole life cycle of the iron and steel industry, build a new industry-wide energy application system, and promote the new energy-oriented process of the iron and steel industry.
