On December 8, Cotemporary Amperex Technology Co., Ltd. (CATL) signed a strategic cooperation framework agreement with the Suzhou Municipal Government and, at the same time, investment agreements with the Wuzhong District Government and the Administration Committee of the Wuzhong Economic and Technological Development Zone in Suzhou. 

According to the agreements, CATL will focus on building an advanced manufacturing project that matches Suzhou's unique advantages, strive to make breakthroughs in solving the pain points in the development of new energy vehicles, and implement cutting-edge R&D projects including electric energy efficiency optimization solutions in Wuzhong District. At the same time, it will give full play to its comprehensive advantages in the field of new energy to promote the clean energy production and electrification of the transportation field in Suzhou, and help to realize the goal of achieving carbon neutrality of Suzhou as soon as possible.

Suzhou has always attached great importance to the new energy vehicle industry, and hopes that the two parties will continue to expand the cooperation in the fields of energy structure transformation and green development to promote the implementation of more application scenarios and high-quality projects.”
